wow, my life is super busy now! even busier than before.. busier than u can ever imagine.. working 9 to 5 weekdays, 9 to 1 on saturdays, filling up the rest of my time with piano classes, japanese classes, tuition classes.. n the worst part, 2 hours of each of my day will b in the car.. take today for instance.. woke up early, went to work.. work was so busy!! cos more ppl prefer to be discharged on saturdays, n so there were so many medicine to pack.. oh ya, they allowed me to pack the medicine, i mean i was helping out in discharging medicine too.. haha, ya, many stuff to learn, but tat's the reason im there isnt it?! ya, packing was so fun, but at the same time, giddy.. wow, look at the medicine! ok, i'll post pictures while i explain this part..

obvious enough, this is the pharmacy department.. i mean, part of the inpatient pharmacy department.. the department is not very big, but u cant see it all in one glance, cos as u see, its very packed.. the one in pink is some nurse, nurses always come over here to ask for medicine..

ok well, here is the first row of tablets.. b patient, more's on the way!

this is the 2nd row, tablets n injections.. the 2 ppl in white r the ones i disturb most with my irritating head sticking everywhere around them asking this n that.. they r not pharmacists, but they know the medicine just as well.. from experience of course.. ya, did i say 90% or perhaps 95% of the people here, r not chinese.. i dont know wat some of them r, cos i cant really differentiate malay n indian dont look like @@, i really duno y i cant differentiate them.. they r quite alike, some of them.. well, as long as they r not chinese.. kkk, not making this a racist topic.. let's go on..

there u go, the 3rd row, jabs n nasal sprays n lotions n stuff like that.. those ppl using the com, they r pharmacists.. they're charging the medicine into the patients' accounts, n then they print out the labels for us to prepare the medicine..

now we'll go to a series of pic on the store room they keep their medicine..

they do have huge stores dont they? let's see now the types of medicines.. dont faint yet!

obvious enough, these r the tablets

and these are the plastics we use to pack the medicines in.. the labels r the ones printed by the pharmacists, as i mentioned above.. besides sticking the labels, we have to remember which med is antibiotic, which causes drowsiness, which cant be taken with alcohol n so many others, so its quite a bit of homework there..

these are the jabs, the injections if u like, we have to prepare them too, and some of them r kept in the fridge in the pic below, so we have to know which is kept in the fridge, u wont find them on the shelves..

there u go, the fridge.. ya, 2 fridges, u have to know which med belongs where.. hmm.. im not good at it yet, but im getting better^^

these r syrups, ya i know u know.. but i still like to introduce them

familiar? seen them somewhere?

these lotions n creams, they're under the pharmacy department as well

these tablets are called the fast moving tablets, n they're found on the table.. u see, that's the problem, a lot of medicine, they do not arrange them according to the alphabetical order, u have to know where they keep the vitamins, where they keep the fast moving tablets.. n all these, u have to know the labels for them, cos some of them have tons of names, n the labels on the trays r different from the names printed on the labels, u have to know which is which.. a lot of memory work huh?!

n these, r the labels we have.. like refrigerate, antibiotic, do not take more than 2 in 1hour or more than 8 in 24 hours, cause drowsiness, cant take with alcohol.. bla bla..

n i just realised, i left out some of the cool places of the department, will u take a look?!

havent seen them use this before, but it certainly is cool, wow! forgot the name for this machine.. but is some where they prepare the chemicals..

yes yes yes, they have this super cool thing! i duno the name, lets call it 'fly fly' shall we? this fly fly is super cool!! it transfers med from the one department to another.. like say we dont have enough stock for a certain tablet, we give the retail pharmacy side a call, they'll use fly fly to send the med over.. in a super short time.. so cool!!

yes! this is our pantry.. our very own pantry.. haha, how many departments in the hospital actually have their own oven, own microwave, own little place to eat? i think we're one of the few.. wahaha..

ok now that i've gone so far, it took me almost 2 hours to come to this part.. n im super sleepy, its almost 1am edi.. let me finish this quick.. after the hospital, i went for my piano class, went for the pc fair with Moon in the late afternoon, arrived home only at 7.30, had a quick dinner, n rushed off to teach my tuition at 7.50.. whew! i was so super busy the whole day.. i have a lot to blog bout my pc fair, but too bad my this post is too long, plus im very sleepy.. jus telling u guys, the stupid pc fair was damn crowded!! gosh im surprised we could even breathe in there.. well basically, i was standing n walking n moving around the whole day.. u will always b in the pharmacy department.. cos u really have to move around to get medicines.. n running in n out of the store to replace the medicine.. gosh i really wonder y every single time i reach out for the medicine its always out of stock n i have to go all the way to the store to collect, to write on the stock card, to place them in their respective places.. who's playing the not-funny joke on me?! so the only time i sat down before i reached home was in the car, during my quick lunch, n on the piano seat.. wat la, im not on diet, my poor legs r suffering.. they r screaming for the bed now.. ok, so goodnight! oh, n before i forget, its easter now, so h@pPy e@sTeR!! hurray Jesus lives forevermore!

gosh i wish i could blog on my terrifying train trip i took yesterday morning to work.. ya, taking a train is saving me lots of money, cos the parking in gleneagles is RM5 a day! goodness me.. n the petrol? the jam? save me from these, i'll take a train.. but goodness me, jus looking at the crowd taking the train every morning sickens me.. i've never met such a huge crowd waiting for train before, never tried looking at 5 to 10 trains passing the station n i cant get into any of them.. n after getting in the train, i didnt have to hold a thing, all i need is to cling on to my bag.. i wont fall, cos its so super squeezy that even u wanna sneeze also cannot.. n after the klcc n ampang park station, the train was totally deserted.. wat la! opps, i reminded myself not to blog so much edi.. anyway, i wanna sleep edi, too tired
