hot hot hot!! this was the first thought that came up to me once I stepped out of the aeroplane last night. our plane arrived at around 11pm. goodness, korea was soooo cold! the lowest temperature we experienced was around -18 to -19 degrees. gosh, i just cant bear the chill!! it gets into ur bones. BUT! it didnt snow!!! the whole trip we were there, the whole of the 8 days, NOTHING fell from the sky at all! no snow, no rain, NOTHING! so disappointed! we went there believing so hard we could see snow, it didnt. the only snow we saw were those on the ground, the left overs of the snow days ago before we arrived. gosh! we went to jeju island, n we got to know that it snowed the day before we arrived. but the day we arrived, it didnt snow. then we waited, n left, n the moment we left we left in the morning it snowed in the afternoon. ok, tell me, how can I not get mad?! hmph! but anyway, the trip was fantastic! the view was absolutely beautiful!! wow! the mountains, the river, the snow i mean those on the ground of course! everything! was good!! except that it didnt snow. n it was really terribly cold! i wore 4 to 5 shirts, 2 to 3 trousers, two pairs of gloves, 2 pairs of socks, a hat, put on my cape, a scarf, an ear-muff everyday. almost everyday. wow, so cold!! so u see those photos that i've taken, im trying hard to set up an account in photobucket so that i can post those photos for u to see i looked like a giant dumpling in those pictures.. goodness! i better explain now, it was those clothes that i wore that made me look like a bubbly balloon, not my fat ok!! but anyway, i did put on a lot of weight. who wouldnt! under those kind of situation those kind of temperature, the only thing i could do to make myself feel better n warmer was to eat eat n eat all the time! n of course, every main meal, we ate till we could stuff no more food into our stomachs. n without doubt, the food, though not very oily, was all meat! to keep warm of course.. so it is not difficult to imagine how i put on so much of weight. pls dont blame me! haha.. well, i enjoyed the trip. really enjoyed. our tour guide, i find him kinda weird. he asked us to call him = "suai ge" which means "handsome brother". =.=. he's 34, n he hasnt found a wife yet. not even a girlfriend. haha. he has 4 sisters, all have gone through plastic surgery. try to imagine ursself how popular these things are over there. well, basically, he is a nice guy. but he likes to "act cool". when we asked him is it cold outside the bus, he says okla. but when he got down, he was jumping around, rubbing his hands. when we all were wrapping ourselves up tightly with clothings, he only wore 2 shirts n a pants. he wore no ear-muffs, no scarfs, no hat, well, none other! so he dared not sit in the bus, he kept standing all the way, cos the seat was cold. he was cold. hahaha. hmm.. many things I found in korea quite different from us. firstly, every meal MUST come with those "salted veg", i dont know wat I should call that, but ya, something like that, n I just cant accustom to the taste, jus so yucks. secondly, is the driver's seat is on the left, so it was quite dangerous for us as we crossed the road, cos we were so used to b looking right all the time, n forget that korean drive on the 'wrong' way. then, is the traffic lights. their traffic light turn yellow before it turns red, n it also turns yellow before it turns green. weird. i guess they expect ppl to dash once the light turns green? then, is the salespeople. they will scold us when we bargain with them. weird huh? they will chase us away n snatch away wat we plan to bargain with them. really weird. their stuff r so expensive that there were almost nothing I can buy. haih! hmm, we went to quite a few places where they snapped those seriels like "All-in house", "jewel in the palace (dae cheong gam)", "winter sonata", "orange".. n many others that i havent watched before. so i plan to watch them all.. ahaha.. nice, really nice to visit those places, especially when we went to the place where they snapped the "jewel in the palace", i really enjoyed looking at those places that i watched in the movie. wow, really nice! korea is really a great place for holiday! especially when we have cameras, really, no regrets going there. the only problem we faced was communication problem. the people there know no other language other than korean. so we were like chicken talking to dog. cannot communicate at all. wanna ask the temperature also took us half a day to explain, n the guy said colder than yesterday. lower than -18 degrees. wat la is this answer! haha, korean women r really trendy! not all of them are pretty, but they can really dress up themselves that make u feel all of them r pretty. cool. too bad it's winter, if not i can get to see their hot looks. haha. oh ya! we went to this weird street, just a short road. this road, is called the "miracle road", or say the "ghost road". cos here, our bus stopped right at the bottom of this road it's a slope, quite steep. n then, our bus driver switched off the engine. our bus moved UP! by itself it moved UP! we got down the bus, took some bottles, n left it there on the slope. the bottles moved UP! then we poured water, the water flowed UP!! miracle isnt it? our tour leader expained the theory to us, saying that actually the what we see as the tip of the slope is actually the bottom or smth which i totally cannot comprehend. well, forget it. i jus take it as a weird thing. ghost! haha. well, my korea trip ended just like that. though i really miss korea, i couldnt bear the chill anymore, n was hoping i could come back to msia as soon as possible. and here i m! haha.. korea is really a great place. with extreme cleanliness, best security, cos there were no thieves at all in jeju island said the tour guide n there were no beggars at all. wat a cool place! i will definately wanna return to korea if i have the chance to. this time, i will learn more korean before i go. i picked up a few korean phrases during this trip, hope i can remember them =) well, that's it. i wouldnt wanna explain every single detail on my trip over here. this will b too lengthy then. ahahaha.. oh ya! how can i forget! i met up with Viona over there in korea! gosh, miss her so much. she brought me so many many cookies n present. n all i gave her was a year book of taylors college. i'm so bad.. haih. really miss her la. took 3 precious photos with her, she looked great! haha. fancy being able to meet up with a friend over there, that really made me high! haha.. i know she came all the way to meet me, cos she had class that day. haha, felt so proud! hahaha.. kkk, my house is full of people now, my mum's family is coming over to stay, from singapore, n they r here. my busy night starts. haha, bbq tonight! the fat me continues to add fat! hahaha..oh ya, pls b patient while i find a place to upload ALL my photos ok! few hundreds of them.. haha, not only me in them of course^^
